I have the opportunity to participate AND present at the first ever Midsouth Summit featuring Google For Education. This event is made up of current and former educators who love to use Edtech, especially Google Apps for Education (GAFE), in the classroom. Although there is a great deal of technical education that happens at these events, the focus is always on implementing technology in a way that benefits learning in the classroom.
Today, I presented Google Sites for Education. This session was crammed full of information, and seemed to need more than an hour to present. I wonder if there are better ways to present certain aspects of this material because I feel that all of it is essential to getting started with Google Sites.
Tomorrow, I will present Creating Performance-Based Tasks using Google Apps. I’m hoping the attendees will have more time to experiment with the Google Apps and ask me specific questions on implementing their products in the classroom.
